And... the inevitable has happened: I'm back on Windows. Maybe when I've got more time and possibly different hardware with better support under Linux, I'll come back to using Gentoo full-time. Fighting with crappy Wacom pad support, and fighting with dhcp issues every time I want to get on the net, really, really blows. Additionally, the new Gnome interface involves a lot of spatial crap that I find to be really annoying, and isn't really consistent across the platform. Windows might be a little slow in certain cases, but its interface is easy to use (for me). The only thing I really miss are some of the command line tools. I've been getting back into using Dreamweaver for website dev. and I don't know why I bothered using anything else. For the code editing IDE alone, it is beautiful.

Evil Says:
Fare you well, boy: you know my mind. I will leave
you now to your gossip-like humour: you break jests
as braggarts do their blades, which God be thanked,
hurt not. My lord, for your many courtesies I thank
you: I must discontinue your company.
- Benedick, Act 5, Scene 1, Much Ado About Nothing, William Shakespeare

Back to windows... bah! ;)
