Yesterday I watched Chocolat, and today I watched Zatoichi - the version that was prevalent in mainstream Montreal theatres. Two really good movies. You should watch these, and at some point mention how good they are to me, so that I'll remember. We'll share a fond moment together—it'll be nice.

In other news, take a look at this article on the variations between the different kinds of hyphes and dashes. Mmm … typography.

Zatoichi? Why was there two versions of this movie? I guess I could look it up online somewhere... I'll just wait to ask you ;) I am interested in reading the article on typography, but I this funny feeling that there is a book around here that I am supposed reading.

Zatoichi is like Zorro in the way that he's this folk hero who appears in movies about him directly or indirectly, so yes; there is more than one movie about this crazy character.

Indeed! They've been making movies about Zatoichi just like the Chinese have been making movies about Wong Fei Hong. (And there are some 200+ Wong Fei Hong movies)

Yeah... Zatoichi rawks. :)
Chocolat was pretty good too, though. But it didn't have tap dancing Japanese people. Or Beat Takeshi -- who's awesome, btw...
I'll have to read the typography page. I love crap like that. If you wanna read something else of interest, try Omniglot. It's a sweet site.

I know I shouldn't be saying this... since I AM an English major... but... THEY'RE LINES! THEY'RE FREAKING LINES!!! Who cares how long they are, unless they're side by side, I CAN'T TELL THE FREAKING DIFFERENCE ANYWAYS!!!!

I said I needed to dash
To something much more fun,
It appears that I was wrong,
I needed a soft hyphen...
